Why choose dance lessons as a gift? Why not just put a toy under the tree?
In a 2011 survey by TODAY Moms and Parenting.com, they reported that U.S. parents spend an average of $271 per child on Christmas. But as we spend more and more, are we seeing more meaningful results? Moms, dads, grandparents and friends are more and more looking for experiences instead of "toys and things" to put under the tree. The benefit? It's not just about avoiding long lines at the toy store for the "latest and greatest - hot item that no one can get."
Experience gifts create family experiences, meaningful memories, time to bond and talk on that car ride to dance class. Trading high priced toys and electronics for quality experiences filled with memories for all might be the key to family happiness. Studies have shown that kids who share activities and communicate with their parents tend to do better at school, which leads to few behavior problems as teens.
Dance classes build self-confidence, coordination, goal-setting, teamwork, and promotes a healthy active lifestyle.
